We are delighted to invite you to the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Montreal’s Black Tie Dinner on Wednesday April 30, 2025 at the McGill Faculty Club, with special guest David Bensadoun, CEO of ALDO Group and Cambridge ‘94 alum.
What the ticket includes: set in the exclusive and historic McGill Faculty Club on 3450 McTavish, the ticket will include:
- A delicious 3-course meal
- Half a bottle of wine allocated per person
- A chance to hear from David Bensadoun, one of Montreal’s prominent business leaders
- The opportunity to meet alumni from Oxford, Cambridge and alumni from other prestigious institutions including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, and the London School of Economics
Theme and dress code: Black Tie formal or business formal.
Optional: align to the Great Gatsby theme by wearing black, gold, glitter, feathers, fur, or anything 1920s coded!

The evening will proceed as follows:
- 6:00-6:30pm: Registration and cocktail
- 6:30-7:15pm: Q&A with David Bensadoun
- 7:15-9:30pm: Three-course dinner
- 9:30-10:30pm: Post-dinner socializing
There are only 100 tickets available, so grab yours today! Though the event is open to the public, we will prioritize alumni from Oxford and Cambridge Universities in the event of high demand. Tickets are non-refundable.
David Bensadoun, CEO of ALDO Group

David became the fourth generation of his family to work in the shoe business when he joined the ALDO Group in 1996. A natural leader and charismatic speaker, David was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the ALDO Group in April 2017. Today, the ALDO Group operates 1,500 points of sale across 100+ countries.
Prior to becoming CEO, he spent two decades working in almost every corner of the business, from Operations to IT to Buying. In 2001, he took his first leap as an executive leader, heading the Call It Spring brand, where he tripled profits in a two-year period. Soon afterwards, David moved to the Aldo brand where he led the second wave of expansion in the US, opening 250 stores in just three years.
